In case you are unable to find your billing records, you can search for your domain registrar online. Simple WHOIS inquiries will tell you what the registrar knows about your domain name. The WHOIS domain database is a listing of all registered domains and is regularly used for various legal purposes.
Typically, public WHOIS records show the domain owners contact email, street address, phone, and fax numbers. Thats unless the owner is using a domain privacy feature such as IDProtect.
Additionally, a WHOIS service will also show the current registrar, DNS servers, and the domain names creation and expiration dates. To find out who your domain registrar is, you can use a WHOIS service such as who.is. Follow the steps below:
- Input your domain name in the bar above your displayed IP address
- On the results page, see the information in the Registrar Info block. You will find your domain registrars name, along with their website.
Alternatively, you can use ICANN Lookup to find your domain name registrar:
- In the search field, enter your domain name
- Click on Lookup

I Am Replacing An Existing System Administrator What Do I Do
Any acting system administrator should be able to add the EXT Provider System Administrator profile to an existing user, or create a new user account with the administrator profile. If the previous administrator is no longer with the organization, please submit the ProviderOne User Access Request form and a letter on your organizations letterhead.
- The letter must state that the current system administrator should no longer have access to ProviderOne.
- The letter must be signed by an office manager or provider that is not the same person requesting access.
- Contact information and instructions are listed on the form.
ProviderOne Security will expire the previous system administrator’s access and assign confidential login credentials to the person named on the form as the new system administrator. Domain resellers
Some domains are hosted by resellers through a separate registrar. If you cant sign in with your listed registrar or the registrar field is blank, your domain host may be a reseller.
If there is no reseller listed, contact the listed registrars support team for help.
Dont Fear Domain Transfers
Transferring a domain is normally a pretty quick and simple process. Only in some exceptional cases are such transfers not immediately realized. For example, its not always possible to transfer a domain if the web address has been recently purchased. In this case, domain locking can inhibit a domain transfer for a certain period.
