    When you first registered for a domain, the first thing that came to mind is how do you set up your email address account with your own custom domain name.

    While Google makes it easy for you to do that with its GSuite, the downside is you have to pay $5/user/month. It doesnt seem much but its still a cost you have to bear, especially when you need more than 1 email address.

    If your domain name is purchased with Google Domains, they provide free email forwarding that persists the original envelope.

  • From your dashboard, choose Email.
  • Under Email forwarding, click Add email alias.
  • Enter an email address you want to be able to send email as for your custom domain.

    Id heard rumors that you could do this, but I could never figure out how! I hated my hosting email interface, but I wasnt willing to give up the professional domain email address, so I set up Mac Mail to work with my hosting email. Its ok, but Ive often lamented not being able to use the awesome features that work with gmail, like Boomerang. Now I can have the best of both worlds! Thanks!
