The final step is to activate Gmail for your Google Workspace accounts.
Google Workspace MX Records
On the page, youll see the following MX records:
- aspmx.l.google.com / priority = 1
- alt3.aspmx.l.google.com / priority = 10
- alt4.aspmx.l.google.com / priority = 10
Youll need to open a new tab and go to your hosts DNS tool, or re-open the DNS tool tab from earlier.

Alternative Method For Other Hosts
For other hosts, youd need to access your DNS tool, for example, through logging into your cPanel and opening DNS Zone Editor.
Select the appropriate domain, and then click the Add Record button to open a new window.
If your host has email enabled by default, you might need to remove existing MX records.

Do I Need A Com Domain Extension For My Business
The .com domain is the original extension for e-commerce companies, and its still the leading domain extension today.
However, the dot.com domain doesnt have the same effect it used to in search queries. Today, Google prioritizes local searches to local domains.
Therefore, if youre running an accountancy business in New York, you dont need to go with the .com or .org extension.
Choosing a local domain extension, like .nyc, is a better option, especially for rising through search and SERP rankings.

Go to and select the diamond icon on the toolbar to open the premium section of Outlook settings.
If you don’t see a diamond icon in your inbox , it means your Microsoft 365 subscription has expired. Go to to re-activate your subscription, then reconnect your domain using the steps in “Get started”.
If you don’t see a “Personalized email address” tab underneath “Features” and “Security”, it means your personalized email address was removed from Outlook.
If you originally set up the domain, your Microsoft 365 Family subscription likely expired. Go to to re-activate your subscription, then reconnect your domain using the steps in “Get started”.
If someone shared a Microsoft 365 Family subscription with you, their subscription may have expired, or they may have removed the domain from Outlook. Contact the owner of the Microsoft 365 Family subscription and ask them to reconnect the domain.
If the “Personalized email address” tab has a red status bar, your domain may have expired. Confirm with GoDaddy that your domain is still active.
If your domain is active with GoDaddy, select Cancel setup and refresh your browser window. Then go to Premium> Features and select Get started.

This Is Hard And Even A Bit Scary
E-mail is hard. If you want an easier sysadmin project, go set up a Web server. E-mail is a lot more complex, with many more moving parts. On the other hand, your correspondence with others is one of the most personal aspects of your online lifein a medium ultimately made of text, your words are you. It’s worth learning how to claw your online life back from those who would data mine and monetize it.

While the Tasks, Notes and Journal folders sync with other Outlook for Desktop installations, these folders do not sync to all other devices when using Exchange ActiveSync or the Outlook app. You can consider the following alternatives
TasksTasks syncing via the EAS protocol is supported but many Mail apps, including the Outlook app for iOS and Android, do not sync this folder. Microsoft has developed a separate app called To Do which is dedicated to Tasks management. It uses the Tasks folder in your Outlook.com for storage so everything stays synchronized. NotesThe Notes folder of Outlook can be accessed in the Sticky Notes section of OneNote for iPhone and iPad and Android or by using Microsoft Launcher for Android. JournalThere is no real alternative to the Outlook Journal but you can create an additional Calendar folder and create a new view which is using a Timeline layout. Then you can use Appointments to create Journal entries. You could of course also leave it in the Day/Week/Month view for a more diary style Journal. This additional Calendar folder will automatically sync with any Mail app.

Can’t You Get A Free Custom Address With Microsoft
Like the free custom email deal with Google Apps, Microsoft used to offer a service that allowed users to attach their custom domains to free Hotmail and Outlook.com accounts. But in 2014, they shut it down to focus on their paid offerings.
The move is disappointing, but not surprising. The fact that the Windows Live Admin Center continued to use the old Windows Live branding and was never updated with the modern design of Outlook.com was probably the biggest clue. In addition, the service has always been extremely limited, with administrators only able to add or delete addresses. And the relatively recent addition of a prominent Microsoft Office 365 link under the Sign In button was telling as well.
Basically, if youre looking for free custom email today, your only option is Zoho Mail.
Setting Up Your New Google Workspace Email On A Mac
If you dont want to access the Gmail web app through your browser, you can easily add your new Google Workspace email address to the Mail app.
First, open up your Mail application. Then click the Mail option in the top menu to expand the main preferences.
Select the Add Account option, choose Google, and then click continue.
From that on, youll start the easy activation process.
