How to Add a Google Domain to a GoDaddy Hosting Account

For connecting your new domain to Pluto/Mars/Jupiter or Smart/Plus/Pro plan that you have purchased from us, you need to point the domain to MilesWeb Web Hosting DNS nameservers. You will receive the private or reseller nameservers that you need to use in the welcome email. You can do this easily via your MilesWeb account as below:

  • Sign into your MilesWeb account:
  • Choose the Domain List from the left sidebar and click on the Manage button next to your domain in the list:
  • Go to the Nameservers section and select MilesWeb Web Hosting DNS from the drop-down menu. Next, use the tick mark sign to save changes:
  • After the nameservers are updated, it requires approximately 24 hours for the DNS changes to be accepted globally. But in rare cases, it might take up to 48 hours. So, you need to be patient.

Note 1: When switching between MilesWeb BasicDNS/Web Hosting DNS / PremiumDNS nameservers, the DNS changes come into the effect within one hour .

Note 2: After you set the nameservers for your domain, you will need to add your domain as Addon to your cPanel, if it is the sub domain for your hosting plan.

  • Open the project you want to publish

  • Click the Publish button on the top right corner

  • Select Add publish destination fromthe publish dialog

  • Choose your domain from the dropdown list

  • Addapath to your domain or leave it blank if you want to publishtoits root

  • Hit Add publish destination

To unpublish your project from a domain:

  • In the dashboard, click the User tab on the top right corner

  • Click “Hosting”

  • Click the “Projects” tab on the top

  • Click the three dots next to the project you want to unpublish and click “Unpublish”.

The project will no longer appear on the list.

You Have Been Provided With A Set Of Host Records For Connecting The Domain To Your Hosting

If you have your own hosting server and you know the IP address of it, it is possible to set up A records for your domain to connect it to the server. If you have purchased the plan from other hosting provider, you might get the IP address that should be used for your domain to connect with your hosting plan. You need to create A records in this case too.

Note: It can be done only if the domain is using our DNS nameservers. A records can be set up in the following way:

  • Log in to your account, select My Domains from the drop-down list and click on the Manage Domain button from the list. Then go to the Advanced DNS tab at the top of the page.
  • Search for the Host records section and click on the Add New Record button :
  • Select A Record for the Type and enter the Host you want to point to your server IP address:

This is used to mention the Host to point your root domain www This is used to set the record for the www.abc.tld subdomain you can use it to set up a subdomain and to point it to your hosting server * It needs to be entered as a Host to set up a wildcard subdomain .

  • Next, enter the IP address of your hosting server into the Value field:
  • You can leave the TTL as Automatic or select any custom value from the drop-down menu:

  • Once you insert all details, save them using the Save changes icon:

Generally, it takes about 30 minutes for the newly created records to take effect.

How To Transfer Domain From WA to another host (GoDaddy)

If you have purchased domain name from Namecheap.com and wants to point your domain to your hosting provider then follow the below mentioned steps.

Login to your Namecheap account.

UnderDashboard you can see your domains.

Select Manage against the domain which you want to point to your hosting provider.

Let’s again take the example of A2hosting for ease of understanding. If you have hosting plan at some other hosting provider such as Siteground or Bluehost the steps are almost the same.

You just have to collect the nameserver from your hosting provider i.e. Siteground or Bluehost.

Let’s proceed with A2hosting nameservers.

Under Manage go to Nameservers and select Custom DNS.

Now enter all the nameservers one by one and your are done. Now login to A2hosting account and follow all the steps as mentioned above.

When you change a domain’s name server settings or register a new domain, it generally takes 24 to 48 hours to take effect the full changes. This delay, known as DNS propagation delay, occurs with all hosting providers and is beyond anyone’s control.

Remove Your Old Pop3/imap Account

With all your data transferred and Outlook.com automatically collecting your new emails, you can remove your old POP3 or IMAP account from Outlook and set the Outlook.com mailbox as the main mailbox if it isnt already.

  • Set your Outlook.com account as the default account.
  • File-> Account Settings-> Account Settings-> select your Outlook.com account-> button: Set as Default
  • If you are using a Send Only POP3 account, then it is recommended to set/leave this as the default.
  • In that same dialog box, set your Outlook.com mailbox as the default Data File.
  • tab: Data Files-> select your Outlook.com mailbox-> button: Set as Default
  • Accept any warning you might get about changing your default Mail Delivery Location.
  • Restart Outlook.
  • Return to the Account Settings dialog box from step 1.
  • Select your POP3 or IMAP account and press Remove.
  • Optionally Switch to the Data Files tab and remove the pst-file from your POP3 account .
  • Set your Outlook.com mailbox as the default data file and optionally remove your pst-file.

    Syncing Dns On The Server Level

  • Go to WHM for the server the domain is on
  • In the search box type sync and select Synchronize DNS Records
  • Synchronize one zone to all servers, type the domain youre syncing and select synchronize at the bottom.

    The work is done pretty subtly, with a simple message syncing example.com and once complete, it will simply add the word done to the end, so read carefully.

  • After syncing, check DNS again
  • Give it time to propagate. There are a few things you can do to see the site going forward or get things moving faster on your end: You can flush DNS, change your WiFi network, or you can use a skip DNS link to preview what the site will look like as soon as it has propagated.
