When you subscribe to iCloud+, you can use a custom domain name that you already own to personalise your iCloud email address.

If you subscribe to iCloud+, you can use a custom domain that you already own to send and receive emails from a personalised email address with iCloud Mail.

  • You can use up to five custom domains, with up to three personalised email addresses per domain.
  • You can use your personalised email address in the Mail app on any device signed in with your Apple ID and with iCloud Mail turned on, and on iCloud.com/mail.
  • You can also use your personalised email address for Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, to sign in to your device and more.
  • If you don’t have any existing email addresses in use with your custom domain, you can create new personalised email addresses after setting up your domain with iCloud Mail.

Add Mx Records For Email

Once youve verified your domain name, you also need to add another type of record called MX records so that Google Workspace can manage the email for your domain name.

You can do this via the same interface where you added the TXT record. Or, many web hosts include a built-in tool to help you add the Google Workspace MX records.

Set Up Your Custom Email Domain On Icloud

Sign in to your iCloud account using your Apple ID and password and click Account Settings.

Scroll down to the Custom Email Aliases section and click Use Custom Email Aliases.

Note: Your button may say Manage instead of Use Custom Email Aliases.

Youll be asked if youd like to set this up for yourself or for you and your family. If you use Family Sharing, this allows each family member to use three email addresses for the domain. Pick Only You or You and Your Family.

Enter the domain you want to use and click Continue.

On the next screen, confirm the domain name at the top for Step 1.

Then, add any existing email addresses that you use on that domain in Step 2. If you arent currently using email addresses on the domain, you can click Skip. You can create a new email address after your finish setting up the domain.

Warning: Do not add the email addresses your family members use on that domain because this will attach the addresses to you.

If you do add an email address, click to Confirm that youve added all of the addresses necessary. Youll then be asked to verify it through an email before you can continue. So open your email app and check for the message from Apple.

Youll receive an email at each address you added. Simply click Verify to confirm the email address belongs to you.

Then, head back to the iCloud screen and click OK after you verify the email address.

When you see the subsequent confirmation, click Done and youre finished.

    Verify Your Google Workspace Domain

    Now that youve created a user, head to and log in with your new credentials.

    Once youve logged in, there is a tutorial that will help you set up Google Workspace. You will start by verifying your Google Workspace domain.

    The default option is adding a TXT record to the DNS records of your business site. Adding the TXT record to your DNS wont affect your website or domain in any way.

    Once youve selected the TXT option, Google will generate a code that starts with google-site-verify. Click the Copy button to copy the code to your clipboard.

    Select TXT from the Type dropdown menu.

    Copy and paste the verification code into, and press the Add DNS Record button.

    Once youre done, return to the tab with the Google Workspace signup page in it.

    Note: It may take a few minutes for the DNS records to go live, so it will take some time before Google can complete the authentification.

    Remove Your Old Pop3/imap Account

    With all your data transferred and Outlook.com automatically collecting your new emails, you can remove your old POP3 or IMAP account from Outlook and set the Outlook.com mailbox as the main mailbox if it isnt already.

  • Set your Outlook.com account as the default account.
  • File-> Account Settings-> Account Settings-> select your Outlook.com account-> button: Set as Default
  • If you are using a Send Only POP3 account, then it is recommended to set/leave this as the default.
  • In that same dialog box, set your Outlook.com mailbox as the default Data File.
  • tab: Data Files-> select your Outlook.com mailbox-> button: Set as Default
  • Accept any warning you might get about changing your default Mail Delivery Location.
  • Restart Outlook.
  • Return to the Account Settings dialog box from step 1.
  • Select your POP3 or IMAP account and press Remove.
  • Optionally Switch to the Data Files tab and remove the pst-file from your POP3 account .
  • Set your Outlook.com mailbox as the default data file and optionally remove your pst-file.

    Can I Share My Domain With Others So They Can Also Have Personalized Email Addresses

    If you have a Microsoft 365 Family subscription and a domain connected to Outlook.com, the other people that you’ve shared the subscription with can set up their own personalized email addresses using your domain.

    If you remove your domain from Outlook.com, cancel your Microsoft 365 Family subscription, or remove a person from your Microsoft 365 Family sharing group, that person will lose the ability to send and receive email with their personalized email address.
