It is recommended to use the Outlook app for iPhone and iPad and Android as it supports the most features for an Outlook.com account and it can configure your account without needing to enter any server information.

However, you are free to use any other mail app as well.     The first step to setting up your domain email with Exchange Online is to verify your domain ownership.

  • Sign into your Office 365 Admin center.
  • From the side menu, select Setup. This will start the Office 365 wizard.
  • On the Quick Start panel, click Start.
  • On the Choose a domain window, select Use your own domain and click next.
  • Next, the wizard will guide you through the steps to add your domain to your Office 365 account. Click Specify a domain name and confirm ownership to continue.
  • On the next screen, you will be asked to provide your domain name. Enter your domain name into the text field. When ready, click next.
  • On the ownership confirmation window, select General instructions from the drop-down menu.
  • To confirm your domain ownership, you can follow any one of instruction choices provided:
  • add a TXT or MX record for verification
  • add an MX record to route email
  • add four CNAME records

    Synching Tasks Notes And Journal

    While the Tasks, Notes and Journal folders sync with other Outlook for Desktop installations, these folders do not sync to all other devices when using Exchange ActiveSync or the Outlook app. You can consider the following alternatives

    TasksTasks syncing via the EAS protocol is supported but many Mail apps, including the Outlook app for iOS and Android, do not sync this folder. Microsoft has developed a separate app called To Do which is dedicated to Tasks management. It uses the Tasks folder in your Outlook.com for storage so everything stays synchronized. You can get the free app for Windows 10, iPhone and iPad, Android or use it in your favorite Internet browser.

    NotesThe Notes folder of Outlook can be accessed in the Sticky Notes section of OneNote for iPhone and iPad and Android or by using Microsoft Launcher for Android. Sticky Notes is also available as a separate app for Windows 10. As an alternative, you can also access them with your favorite Internet browser.

    JournalThere is no real alternative to the Outlook Journal but you can create an additional Calendar folder and create a new view which is using a Timeline layout. Then you can use Appointments to create Journal entries. You could of course also leave it in the Day/Week/Month view for a more diary style Journal. This additional Calendar folder will automatically sync with any Mail app.

    Step 1: After navigating back to the GoDaddy Dashboard page, click on the drop-down next to your username and select My Products.

    • a delay for the email in Undo Time Settings.
    • enable or disable track sent email
    • enable or disable threading mode
    • send a BBC to a specified email address. The BBC address should be an email address already connected to Acquire.
    • an SMTP server should you have one.

    Then, press Save.

    Step 5: A pop up should appear with the forwarding address. Copy the forwarding address and click the Send Verification Email.

    Keep this forwarding address handy. Youll be using it in the next step.

    Finding The Imap Pop And Smtp Configuration

    Before adding the incoming and outgoing mail server details to an email client, youll need to find your email configuration details.

    The steps to access your email configuration information depend on your email hosting provider.

    If you use a Hostinger email, log into your hosting account, go to hPanel, and scroll down to the Emails section. Then, click on Email Accounts.

    Click on your domain name and navigate to Configuration Settings -> Manual Configuration to see the mail protocol information.

    Copy and paste the details to a Notepad file for safekeeping, or leave the page open while you configure Microsoft Outlook.

    Connect To Your Outlookcom Account In Outlook

    Youre done with the web configuring part and now it is time to get everything into Outlook. This is an easy process by using Auto Account Setup.

    • File-> Add Account

    Depending on your version of Outlook, youll get one of the dialogs below.

    When you get this screen, fill out your email address and press the Connect button. When youve already stored your credentials for this account in Windows, the account will be added directly. If not, youll get prompted for your password. When you have Two-Step Verification enabled for your Outlook.com or Microsoft Account, then youll also be prompted for additional confirmation such as by entering a code obtained via an SMS text message or the Authenticator app.

    When you get the dialog shown above, fill out your name, email address and password. When you have Two-Step Verification enabled for your Outlook.com or Microsoft Account, then youll have to use a special App Password instead of your regular password.

    Microsoft 365 Exchange Online

    When you want to host more than 6 email accounts at Outlook.com or want it to handle all the emails for your entire domain, add aliases, distribution groups and shared mailboxes, then switching to Microsoft 365 Exchange Online might be the better solution even though this isnt free .

    When you choose to go this route, you dont have to configure Outlook.com to collect your mail via POP3 or configure any forwarder Mail is then being received instantly as if it was a native domain of Outlook.com itself.

    The costs depend on the country that you live in but currently a single mailbox costs $4 per month. As the domain owner, this also provides you with lots of management options and you have the additional benefit of being able to share email, calendar and contact folders between your colleagues as well as creating shared mailboxes.
