NOTE: We offer two different versions of WebsiteBuilder. Our original implementation of the builder is the Legacy WebsiteBuilder Editor, while WebsiteBuilder Express Editor is the newest interface commonly found in the Foundation dashboard. It is not possible to upgrade a Legacy WebsiteBuilder Editor to the Express Editor. The site will need to be recreated with the Express Editor. All new WebsiteBuilder installations will be the Express Editor.

Check If The Website Works
Once you complete your upload, its time for a final check!
If your domain name is alreadypointed to your web host, enter the domain name into your browser and see if it directs you to your website.
Keep in mind that DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate worldwide. As such, if you just pointed your domain to the web hosts name servers, you might need to wait for a while.
Use an online tool likewhatsmydns.net to check the state of your DNS propagation. Just enter your domain name and the tool will check the DNS records against multiple name servers.
Should you follow all the instructions correctly, your website will appear just fine. However, if you run into an issue, ask your hosting provider for assistance.

Create A Mysql Database
Congratulations! Your files are now where they need to be in order for your WordPress site to be visible to the public. However, your job isnt done yet. You now need to create a MySQL database on your live site.
Doing this will ensure your site appears as you intended and all of your posts, pages, and settings load as they should. Go into the cPanel on your hosting provider. From there, scroll down to the Databases subheading. There you should find an option for MySQL Databases, which looks like this:
Click on it. Once youre on the Create New Database screen, input a name for your database. Then click the Create Database button.
Next, locate the MySQL Users section. Create a new user. You will need to create a username and password.
Then add that user to the database.
Finally, set the new users MySQL privileges. In order for this to work properly, the new user should be granted all privileges.

Websitebuilder Express Editor: How To Add Images
- Browse files – by clicking on this option, you will be able to browse through your computer files or drag and drop the file inside the dotted lines. The initially selected image will be replaced with the new image. You will also have the option to adjust the image if needed.
- Add from Link – by selecting this option, you will paste a full URL of an image that already exists on the web in the space provided. Make sure to click Save.
- Once editing is done, click on Save. If you want to make all changes to be updated on your live website, click Publish. Both these options are placed on top of your editor. Note: if you only save changes, it would not appear on the website unless you click Publish.

Upload Your Database Using Ftp
The next thing youre going to do is actually upload your WordPress files to your hosting account. To do this, youll need an FTP client. If your face has gone pale and you have no idea what Im talking about, check out this tutorial at WordPress.org for FileZilla . It explains all the basics quite nicely.
Once you have a handle on how to use an FTP client, launch your preferred one and connect to your live hosting account. Next, find the directory where youd like your site to appear.
Typically, you want a site to appear at yoursitename.com. To make sure this happens, select the public_html directory. Then locate the files for your local WordPress site , select them all and upload them to the appropriate directory.

To upload files to a website in your Linux Hosting account, here’s how to get to the cPanel File Manager from your account Dashboard.

To change your directory index, edit your .htaccess file and add the following line:

For example: Lets assume that the homepage for your website is named Welcome.html. We need to update the .htaccess file so that the server knows to load Welcome.html first, instead of index.htm. Open the .htaccess file in your domains document root and add the following line:
DirectoryIndex Welcome.html
Yes, it is that easy! Please note that the server is case sensitive, so be sure to use the proper case. For example, Welcome.html is different than welcome.html.

How Do I Link My Domain To The Uploaded Website
In order to link the domain with your website, you first have to upload your website with all files and folders onto our web server. We have provided a guide for this.
After uploading all the files, navigate to in the Control Panel. Then find the button on the right-hand side next to the subdomain . With the option and a click into the text field “Path”, you can select or enter the directory where the files are located. Then use the button . Please note that only data that is within the /html/ folder on your webspace can be published.
You can also create more subdomains on this page by using the button below the heading Subdomains. If you have multiple domains, you also have to select the domain for which you want to create a subdomain from the dropdown. Afterwards you can this new subdomain again. This way you can run multiple websites with different subdomains. You can create separate directories on your web space for each website and configure the corresponding subdomain as described above.
