If you get a CNAMEAlreadyExistsException error, this means that one of the host names that you tried to connect is already deployed to another Amazon CloudFront distribution. Perform the following steps to diagnose the cause of the error.
Sign in to the and verify that you don’t have this domain deployed to any other distribution. A single CNAME record can be attached to one CloudFront distribution at a time.
If you previously deployed the domain to a CloudFront distribution you must remove it.
Choose Distributions on the left navigation menu.
Select the name of the distribution to edit.
Choose the General tab. In theSettings section, chooseEdit.
Remove the domain name from Alternate domain name . Then choose, Save changes.
Check to see whether this domain is connected to a different Amplify app that you own. If so, make sure you are not trying to reuse one of the hostnames. If you are using www.example.com for another app, you cannot use www.example.com with the app that you are currently connecting. You can use other subdomains, such as blog.example.com.
If this domain was successfully connected to another app and then deleted within the last hour, try again after at least one hour has passed. If you still see this exception after 6 hours, see GitHub Issues and open a new issue if it doesnt already exist.

It is important to update your CNAME records as soon as you create your custom domain. After your app is created in the Amplify Console, your CNAME record is checked every few minutes to determine if it resolves. If you added or updated your CNAME records a few hours after you created your app, this is the most likely cause for your app to get stuck in the Pending Verification state.

Why Can’t I Transfer A Domain Name I Just Registered To Another Registrar
There are certain situations that can prevent a domain name from being transferred to a different registrar, such as a new registration. Your registrar may deny a transfer request if the domain name is within 60 days of initial registration. Another situation is if the domain name is subject to a 60-day Change of Registrant lock. You cannot transfer a domain name to a different registrar within 60 days of making changes to the registrant name, organization or email address . At their discretion, some registrars may provide an option for you to opt-out of this 60-day lock period. However, this rule is in place for your protection against unauthorized transfers and the registrar does not have to offer this option. If your ultimate goal is to transfer the domain name, you may want to consider completing the transfer process before changing your contact information.
Registrars also have the option of denying a transfer request within 60 days from when you last transferred the domain name to a different registrar. You may have the option to change web-hosting providers instead of registrars to avoid the inter-registrar transfer process altogether.
