Firstly, thanks for reading my topic. I hope you can help.

I have a Wix website and have just finalised my Shopify site. My domains are located at Net Registry. I need to redirect everything to Shopify so that I can drop Wix.

My probelm is that while Iâve researched this via Shopify and Net Registry, I canât make heads or tails of it.

I donât actually know what I need to do to make this happen.

In order to link your domain to Shopify, youâll need to access the DNS settings of your Net Registry domain!

Once youâre within the DNS panel of the domain, set the A record to 23.227.38.32 and set the CNAME record to shops.myshopify.com. These records are likely already configured to Wix Settings, so instead of creating new records, just make sure youâre updating them instead.

I was able to find exact instructions from Net Registry here. They mention to set the CNAME to your .myshopify.com URL however, Iâd recommend setting it to shops.myshopify.com. With that said though, either one will work.

Once you have these records updated, you can add your domain to your Shopify store within the admin under Online Store > Domains > Connect Existing Domain. Make sure to set your primary domain as your unique domain, to ensure your .myshopify.com URL is not visible!

I saw a few YouTube videos on how to do this but in each case it look like Godaddy needs to be hosting your domain. You can then use their Cpanel to set everything up.

My problem is Godaddy only sold me the domain but is not hosting so there is no Cpanel to access. So I then thought I had to buy an email address from Godaddy to go with my domain. This costs $5USD per month. This then takes me to Office 365 .and then I am totally lost. I have been using Cpanel for years but this connection to Office 365 is a pain and I regret choosing to let Godaddy handle my email.

So my question are:

1. Can I move my domain over to Shopify. Even if I have to sell/cancel/rebuy it from Godaddy so that Shopify can use it?

I want to stick with the gmail front end as its nice and easy to use.
