Pointing your domain allows you to keep your domain registration with GoDaddy but host your website elsewhere. Redirecting your domain sends visitors who type your domain name directly to your website hosted elsewhere.
In order to redirect your domain to another location, you must first determine which link is present on ShiftWeb . As a result of a recent conversation with a friend, I decided to create a blog post to show others how to do the same. When you want to redirect people to another website, a domain forwarding feature can be useful. Because your domain does not appear to be pointing to its default nameservers as shown above, you may not notice the Forwarding option box. When you arrange redirects, its important to note that theres a chance of losing some link authority, harm your SEO rankings, or give your visitors a bad experience. Note each of these consequences below:

When would I need to redirect/forward my domain?
Domain forwarding is useful when you want people to be redirected to another site.
For example, lets say you have multiple domains and you want to redirect or forward one of the domains to your main website.
For this example, Ill use one of my domains: dobetteronline.com
As you can see, I dont have a website built for that domain and I have it forwarded to this website .
So lets dig in on how to forward your domain on Godaddy!

If you want to automatically redirect your GoDaddy domain to another website, you can do so by modifying your domains DNS settings. You will need to set a 301 redirect for your domain, which will tell browsers and search engines that your domain has permanently moved to the new location. You can do this by logging into your GoDaddy account and navigating to the DNS management page for your domain.
