    Launch Your Domain With Shopify

Choosing the right domain name service is an important but not very exciting task for your online business. Be sure to register your domain with a service thats reliable and affordable and that provides the tools you need to run a successful business. Its simple and secure to register your domain name and launch your ecommerce business with Shopify.

    Checking Domain Providers Transfer Policy

First, check the domain providers transfer policy to ensure that the provider supports domain transfers. Some providers do not offer this service, so you will need to switch hosts to transfer your Shopify domain name.

So, how do you go about the transferring process?

The first step is to contact Shopify and provide them with the domain name you wish to transfer. They will then provide you with specific instructions on how to proceed.

Hosting companies usually do not allow transferred domains until after the first invoice is paid, so make sure you know any fees or contracts that will need to be signed before you successfully transfer a domain to Shopify.

Here are some additional considerations you should have in mind:

    • Youll pay $14 yearly for Shopify to host your domain name.
    • The policy of the domain name registrar that you are currently using must allow domain transfer.
    • You must have registered the domain name more than 60 days ago.
    • The server name for the domain will remain the same.
    • For a period of up to 20 days from the time of transfer. You will have to track and respond to important emails.

If you dont like your current host or simply want to explore other options, transferring your domain name is a quick and easy way to make the switch.

And always remember to backup your website and email data before initiating a Shopify domain name transfer, just in case something goes wrong. Youd also need to setup your Shopify email account once the domain is transferred.

Why The Traditional Way Doesnt Work

Traditionally the CNAME that controls the www. in front of your domain name would be entered into Network Solutions or any domain name registrar, and it would point the www. Traffic to Shopify. But inside Network Solutions, they only allow an IP Address or the www. CNAME. Note: Other CNAMES for Network Solutions work as usual and are entered into the CNAME area in the DNS Manager. Only www. CNAME doesnt work this way.

    What Is A Wholesale Supplier

Shopify vs Wix: Which is best for eCommerce in 2021?

A wholesale supplier is a company that buys goods directly from the manufacturer and sells them to retailers for a profit. The wholesale model soared in popularity with the onset of mass production and marketing techniques, beginning in the 19th century.

Without wholesalers, manufacturers would have to market and promote their goods to retailers themselvesa major inconvenience. Wholesale suppliers are essentially middlemen in the supply chain. They buy from manufacturers in such large quantities that they get a significant discount, which they can then pass on to retailers. They normally have a product license, and as such, their products are not available to regular customersor at least not at the same price points they offer to their retailer partners.

Retailers then repackage the wholesale products for individual sale at a profit. Price is always negotiable, but dropshippers and other retailers typically pay wholesalers 60% to 70% of what they charge consumers.
