  • Now you need to verify your domain name. The easiest way in my opinion, is to insert an HTML tag into your sites home page easier than it sounds, promise. To do this, you need to copy a provided code into your websites < head> section. Many WordPress themes, such as Headway and Genesis, have a space for this . If you cant find it, then theres a plugin you can install here that will provide an easy-to-edit < head> section. Then, just copy the code that provides in that section.
  • Once youre done, login to your account and click Users. There, youll see the option to add new users . Adding new users is $6 per user, per month or $72 for the year. This is totally worth it to me!

    Activate Gmail For Your Google Workspace Account

    The final step is to activate Gmail for your Google Workspace accounts.

    On the page, youll see the following MX records:

    • aspmx.l.google.com / priority = 1
    • alt3.aspmx.l.google.com / priority = 10
    • alt4.aspmx.l.google.com / priority = 10

    Id heard rumors that you could do this, but I could never figure out how! I hated my hosting email interface, but I wasnt willing to give up the professional domain email address, so I set up Mac Mail to work with my hosting email. Its ok, but Ive often lamented not being able to use the awesome features that work with gmail, like Boomerang. Now I can have the best of both worlds! Thanks!

    Add Additional Email Addresses If You Need Them

    At this point, you can add additional users or create alias email addresses if you need to.

    Each user costs $6 per month.

    You may not need to add additional users, however. You can add multiple alias email addresses to any user at no additional charge. You may want to add some non-personalized email addresses such as hello@yourcompany.com, support@yourcompany.com, etc. This will allow you to filter specific types of email messages into different mailboxes.

    6. If all of your entered details are correct you will be taken to the next window. Here you can choose to send mail using your cPanel email address from your Gmail account. Choose Yes and click Next.

    7. On this window, you have to enter your name to show on any emails you send via Gmail using this custom email address. Then click Next Step.

    8. On the next window, you will need to enter outgoing server details about your custom email account. Again, back to your mail client settings on Cpanel.

    9. Now enter the outgoing email server details correctly. The SMTP server is usually your domain name. Enter and click Add Account.

    Im going to show you how to set up Gmail so you can use it for free. Using this method, you can send out and receive email using your custom domain name from your regular Gmail inbox.

    When you go to create a new message, youll just choose which sender account to use. For personal emails, youll send them using your standard Gmail address. For business emails, youll just choose your custom domain as the sender. Gmail is smart enough that if you reply to an email, it will automatically use the email address that received the message.
