    If you no longer want to use a custom email domain, you can remove it using your iPhone. When you remove a custom email domain, you cant send or receive email for any addresses at that domain in Mail.

  • Go to Settings > > iCloud > iCloud Mail.

  • Tap Custom Email Domain, then tap Edit next to Your Domains.

  • If youre moving your domain to a new provider, make sure to do the following:

  • Go to your domain registrar to update the domain records to your new email provider and remove iCloud-related records.

    So can you use Gmail with your own domain name? And if so, can you do it for free? The answers to those questions are yes and yes. And in this post, youll learn how to do it.

    You can either use a nifty workaround to access your custom email domain from your existing free Gmail account. Or, you can pay for Googles business tools service, called Workspace. Heres a breakdown of the two methods:

    Importing Your Domain Email Account Into Gmail

  • Open your Gmail account.
  • At the top right, click the Settings icon.
  • Select Settings.
  • Select the Accounts and Import tab.
  • In the Check mail from other accounts section, click Add a POP3 mail account you own.
  • Enter your domain email address, then click Next Step.
  • Enter your account username. Your username is your full email address
  • Enter the email accounts password.
  • Enter your accounts POP server information. This is the Incoming Server information on your View Email Client Info settings. Make sure you enter the correct mail server name and the corresponding port number.

    If you are using the Secure SSL/TLS settings, make sure you select Port 995 from the Port drop-down menu.

    If you are using the Non-SSL settings, select Port 110 from the Port drop-down menu.

  • Select the desired options:

  • Always use a secure connection when retrieving mail if you are using the Secure SSL/TLS settings, then you need to check the box. If you are using the Non-SSL settings, then uncheck the box.
  • Label incoming messages check the box if you have more than one email account set up in your Gmail this way, you can easily see which emails in your inbox come from your domain email account.

    You do not have to set up a forwarder from your domain email address to your Gmail address but it should provide faster delivery of new mail to Gmail. Before you configure Gmail, you should create an email forwarder.

    Return to the cPanel and create an email forwarder from your custom domain email address to your Gmail address.

  • Under the Email & Office tab, find the Forwarders section.

Some domains might require additional authentication, otherwise your sender email address might appear with via shopifyemail.com, or as store@shopifyemail.com.

    If your sender email address is DMARC protected, then your email address might appear in inboxes as store@shopifyemail.com or store@shopify.com. Replies from your customers will be forwarded to your chosen sender email address.

  • In the Contact information section, click Edit.

  • Change your email address under Sender email.

    To send email from a different alias:

    • In the compose window, select From and choose which email address you want to use.

    Set Up Gmail To Receive Email

    There are two ways to receive email in your Gmail account. You can either use POP3 or email forwarding. While both options work, POP3, where Gmail receives emails directly from the server, is a better solution. Each email can be labeled, making it easy to differentiate between work emails and personal emails. With forwarding, every email goes through the original account and then is automatically emailed to your new address. Below are instructions on how to configure each methods.

    POP3 sounds intimidating but its pretty simple. It basically lets Gmail connect to your custom email address. Your free Gmail account will import email from your email host.

    To get started, youll need to log into your Bluehost account, or whichever provider is hosting your emails.

  • Begin by clicking on Advanced on the left navigation menu, and then choosing Email Accounts. This will open a list of your email accounts.
  • Scroll down to a section called Mail Client Manual Settings, which includes your username, incoming server name and POP3 Port. You will need these pieces of information for Gmail.
  • In another tab, open your Gmail account.

  • Find the option that says: Check mail from other accounts. Click on Add a mail account

    Add your own domain email to Gmail

    When you subscribe to iCloud+, you can add up to five custom email domains and create email addresses for those domains on your iPhone . Then, you can send and receive mail in the Mail app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac, in your Mail account on iCloud.com, and in the email app on a Windows computer.
