Login to your account where you purchased your domain name, and go to the My Account area. From there youll see a list of options, one of them being Email, click the Set Up button. Remember, you dont need to buy anything additional to set this up. Were simply forwarding your email address to something more use-able Gmail.

Note: If you already have web hosting somewhere youll usually find this area somewhere in the cPanel of your domain/hosting service.

But if youre in the process of creating your pro website, its really easy to get a professional email address using your websites domain name from your web hosting provider at no extra cost to you.

The easiest way to get an email address ending in your domain name is to do it through your web hosting service. For most popular web hosts, when you purchase hosting, theyll also give you access to something called a cPanel, where you can create email inboxes ending in your domain name.

Two big caveats here:

#1 This isnt ideal because, unlike with Gmail or G Suite, every time you want to check your email, youre going to have to log into your web hosting cPanel to do so.

Note: There IS a way around this by forwarding your email from your web host to your Gmail inbox, but this also isnt ideal. One, there will always be a delay of about one hour. And two, your email is more likely to be marked as spam .

    Set Up Email Forwarding

    All new email addresses that you create in your Shopify admin must be forwarded to an existing email address hosted by a third-party, for example, Gmail or Outlook. You can set up forwarding from multiple email addresses.


    Third-party email hosts that enforce Domain Keys Identified Mail can’t be used as an email forwarding address. AOL and Yahoo are examples of email hosts that enforce DKIM.

  • From your Shopify admin, go to Settings> Domains.

  • Click Manage for the domain that you want to set up a custom email forwarding address for.

  • In the Email hosting service section, click Add forwarding email address.

  • In Store email address enter the email address that you want to create for your custom domain. You don’t need to type the @ symbol or anything that follows it. For example if you want the email, then enter info.

    Create Your Google Workspace Business Account

    First, head over to , and click the Get Started button. Once youve done that, you will start the signing up process.

    Fill out the basic required info, including your number of employees, your business name, and your country. Its important to choose the country where your business is registered.

    Dont choose the United States because you want the language to be English.

    The next step is to fill out your name and existing email address. Once finished, click the next step button.

    Next, confirm whether or not you have a domain for your business already. If not, you can register one with the Google Domain registrar before proceeding.

    If you already have a domain, fill out the domain and click Next Step to continue.

    Double-check that the domain is correct, and click Next Step to confirm your selection.

    Finally, create a username and password to finalize your Google Workspace account. Check the Captcha and press the Agree And Continue button to move on to the next step.

    Note: If you already have an existing email provider for professional email, make sure that you enter the right username.

  • Go to Emails on your Cpanel dashboard.
  • Select the Forwarders icon.
  • Select your domain from the menu.
  • Type the email account username.
  • Type the destination email address.
  • Confirm by selecting Add Forwarder.
  • First, in Email on your Cpanel dashboard, select the Forwarders icon.

    Next, select your domain from the menu, then click on Add Forwarder.

    In the Address to Forward box, type the username of the email account you want to forward.

    In Destination, enter the forward to email address. Once complete, click the Add Forwarder link.
