Shopify, on the other hand, is exclusively built for ecommerce. It does have some of the functionalities of a CMS, and more functions can be added when you factor in the vast options for Shopify Apps, but at its core you can easily launch and scale your business with the basic Shopify setup. That’s why entrepreneurs are now looking for ways on how to migrate from Wix to Shopify so that they can continue to grow and not worry about the technical aspects of their business.
However, there is one major hurdle to the migration processmoving all your data from Wix to Shopify is no simple feat and is significantly time-consuming. This is not to mention that the procedure is also prone to mistakes which could only add to the overall problem.
The guys at Cart2Cart saw this gap in the industry and took action and made a system to import all the data from Wix to Shopify as smooth as possible.

Re: Moving Domain From Wix To Shopify
Previously I also had my store migrated to Shopify and faced a similar problem. It’s such a fortune that I found a migration tool that can do me the favor, most importantly to switch my domain while maintaining SEO URLs ranking. The tool is developed by litExtension, and great to know that it’s now trending app on Shopify App store. The migration service provides you additional options like 301 Redirects and SEO URLs Migration, which can redirect/save your old URL to/on target store after migration.
Last time I didnt have to reach out for their All-in-one migration service. But in case you need, I would highly recommend you contact them to directly assign your task to their experts.

The new store will be built on a Shopify subdomain which looks like this: company.myshopify.com this means there wont be any conflicts with your current store, which will still be live on your current url. Traffic and revenue will keep coming into your current store like normal. Youll , find the temporary subdomain and pick a theme. From there youll load your products, build out your pages , and set up payments. If youve never set up a Shopify store before, you may want to stop here for a minute and check out my complete guide on how to create your ecommerce store on Shopify.
For some of this, youll have to build it by hand. Youll need to add the elements to the homepage yourself, for example. Its definitely tedious but once its done, youll be so glad that you moved everything over. The benefits of Shopify drastically outweigh this one-time transfer.
